Field Placement Opportunities
We have several field placement opportunities in the following disciplines:
1. Social Work - participating in multicultural Community Organization & Development / Inter-institutional collaborative practices:
Field placement include the following activities:
a. Building community links
b. Interacting with International Court System
c. Fundraising
d. Marketing
e. Race Relations locally and international
f. Public speaking with Khmer Rouge Survivors
2. Sociology and Social Policy - Examining structural aspects / variables affecting the Cambodian diaspora with particular focus in Long Beach and greater Los Angeles County -- and working on various cost benefit analysis schemas for policy advice at local, regional, national and international levels.
3. Anthropology / History -- Organized around case studies, oral history and digital archive projects about Cambodian American Community current and historical processes in light of the Khmer Rouge Genocide and the ECCC Tribunal Process.
4. Cultural / Film / Photography Media Studies -- B.A. / MFA students interested in developing projects are welcome to join us as well.
5. Human Rights Law -- We have institutional relationships established with both Harvard and UCLA Schools of Law and will guide students towards both individual and collaborative projects that surround the ECCC tribunal process and collecting of testimony locally.
